To start your return, please enter the order number provided to you at the time of purchase and in your confirmation email, and the email address you provided during your purchase.

Common Return Questions

What items are eligible for return or exchange?

  • Item(s) in original condition, Unwashed, Unworn (Please be mindful of pet hair, strong smells, smoke, deoderant, and makeup when trying on gowns as these can make your item ineligible for return or exchange)
  • Request must be made within 7 business days of delivered tracking status


What items are NOT eligible for return or exchange?

  • Glow Bodysuits
  • Gowns from the Sew Trendy Couture Collection
  • Items with custom selections (i.e. cut to length, mixed sizing, mixed/custom colors)
  • Discounted/Damaged items purchased at a discount
  • Items that have been worn/damaged 
  • Items outside of the 7 business day delivery date
  • Items that arrived damaged/incorrect outside of the 24 hour notification period.
  • International orders are not eligible for return or exchange, please contact us with any questions or concerns at the email below.


Are there any charges for return or exchange?

  • For refunds via original payment method, 30% of the item cost is charged to restock the item. 
  • NO CHARGE for items returned for in store credit.
  • NO CHARGE for exchanges 
  • Exchanges can be made for any item(s) in the store. If the total is less than the original item price, the difference will be refunded via gift card. If chosen item(s) is more, an invoice will be sent for the difference.
  • Original shipping charges are non-refundable
  • Rush fees are non-refundable
  • Buyer is responsible for return shipping charges
  • Standard processing time for exchanges is 7 business days from the date the return arrives at our warehouse. We may be able to make an exception, please submit the request anyway and we will do our best to assist. 


What do I do if my item is Incorrect or Damaged?

  • Buyer must submit a return request within 24 hours if there is a problem with the product(s).
  • In the return reason, select damaged, or incorrect item received within 24 hours of delivery
  • Include a description of the problem and your event date in the notes of the return
  • Email photos of the damage or incorrect item immediately to Sewtrendycustomerservice@gmail.com with the order number in the subject line.
  • When the request and photos are received, and the issue is determined to be our mistake or damaged in transit, Sew Trendy will cover the shipping back to our store and work with you to get a new item out before the event (if timeframe allows).
  • If the damage is determined to be the fault of the buyer, Sew Trendy will cover the shipping costs to send the item back to you after inspection.
  • IF the damage can not be determined digitally, we will request the buyer to send the item(s) back to us to visibly inspect it and work with the customer to resolve the issue per the guidelines above.
  • International orders are eligible for this program. 
  • Please do not assume that we can not get a new item to you in time for your event! If we have made a mistake, we will do everything we can to make it right.


How do I start my Return/Exchange?

  • Enter your order number and email address in the fields above and click Start a Return
  • Follow the screen instructions and select the items you want to return
  • RETURNS -  Select the return reason, and please write any special notes in the instructions that may assist us in processing your return quicker
  • EXCHANGES - Select exchange, and write the reason for exchange, event date, and the requested products in the notes section (Made to order items take 7 business days to process once the return item is received at our warehouse, please plan accordingly.)
  • DAMAGED/INCORRECT - Select the damaged or incorrect items selection, describe the situation, and include the event date in the note section. Send images to sewtrendycustomerservice@gmail.com (required).
  • You will get a confirmation email with shipping guidelines. YOU MUST print that email, fill out the requested information and include with your product or your return may be rejected.


How soon will I get my refund?

  • Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
  • If your return is approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied original method of payment, within 3 business days minus the 30% restocking fee (non-negotiable). Rush fees and shipping costs are non-refundable.
  • If you have selected Store Credit for your return payment, you will receive the gift card information via email within 3 business days.
